Making sure your engine has enough fuel and consistent fuel delivery to safely make power is very important. Hyundai has issued a Technical Service Bulletin for the Low Pressure Fuel Feed Line for the Hyundai Veloster Turbo. According to the bulletin, the fuel line fails under load, causing fuel starvation which will make the car hesitate and lose power.
We replace the factory low pressure feed line with a -6AN Stainless braided PTFE hose with black aluminum ends for a clean factory look. Designed for just the right length, our new line will not kink or distort under pressure like the factory fuel line, so you get consistent fuel delivery. Our new line is also slightly larger in diameter, giving you a little bit of extra flow for when you might need it. The line is finished with our SAE Quick-Disconnect fittings that install cleanly with the factory high pressure fuel pump on the engine and low pressure fuel pump housing at the gas tank. Our line is 100% compatible with all unleaded gasoline and E85 fuels.
We HIGHLY recommend replacing this line when modifying with performance, power adding parts. It is better to be safe than sorry. This Fuel Line is also a mandatory replacement when you go to purchase our Level 1 or higher ECU Tunes.
Please be aware, switching to a high flow fuel hose like this will slightly increase the audible noise of the high pressure fuel pump in the engine to the point where you can hear the pump in the cabin. In the Kia Forte, we have observed this increase in noise with the radio off and at idle, and with deceleration in gear. When you are driving, road noise and/or the radio will drown out the extra pump noise easily, even with the radio at a low volume of “8.”
