International Shipping Update!
At SoCal Garage Works LLC, we recognize the important role our company play’s in providing products and services to our customers and communities. The health and well-being of our valued customers and associates are always our priority, and as we navigate the rapidly evolving coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. We are taking all measures needed to ensure our employees and their families are safe.
Due to massive supply chain issues and delays we are informing all customers if you ordered a part that is backordered or comes from overseas. Be prepared for a delay. There is not enough containers or vessels coming from overseas right now to keep up with the supply and demand in the USA and the entire world. This just doesn’t apply to car parts this is applying to everything in the USA right now. Also we ship almost daily and UPS/FEDEX/USPS/DHL all are letting all companies know they are backlogged. Which means just because we ship your item does not mean any of these couriers are going to guarantee the delivery date you see when you track the item. There is also a massive traffic jam of vessels and containers sitting at ports that haven’t even been unloaded. This is totally out of our control and so if your impatient then we suggest you don’t order anything that comes from overseas.
SPECIAL ORDERED ITEMS! This includes hoods that are made by VIS/SEIBON/SCGW and or any item that is custom made to your specifications is not eligible to be cancelled/refunded period. These items are special orders and if in stock they ship as soon as the manufacture can get it picked up. However if it says BACKORDERED before you order you need to contact us for ETA. Once the item is ordered there is no cancelling this order under no circumstances. Most hoods are not kept in stock and are ordered due to the limit availability of space in containers from overseas.
In regards to this epidemic that has affected the entire world and all business’s that import products we wanted to give a little update. If you ordered a steering wheel all orders will be processed normally as those are being made as we get cores from manufactures but lead times might be extended due to lack of staff or manufacture having the oem core in stock. However if you ordered a Spoiler, Front Lip, Wide Body Kit, or something that we import from overseas, please be aware there could be possible wait times that extend past our ETA for that product on our site. We can’t stop a international shipment. This goes for Wide Bodies, Wings and anything imported from overseas. If you choose to cancel your exterior part that is imported you will have to wait till it arrives to you. Then you will have to return it to our offices on the west coast. This includes companies like ours that we sell for that are experiencing the same issues as other companies.
All Steering Wheels and Interior Part orders are being processed and created and built as fast as we can work with our current staff. All suspension and other orders are currently being filled as fast as possible. However extended build times will apply due to limited staff or availability of materials . The only parts that are delayed are parts that we import as stated above. We do apologize for the delays in these items and we will make sure all orders are shipped as soon as possible. All steering wheel orders are shipped as soon as they are finished. We value your support and we will continue to bring amazing products to the community. We don’t and will not guarantee ETA’s on steering wheels right now. Due to the massive shortage of materials in the world and OEM parts from manufactures. ETA’s are what we estimate the time it will take to make your part and ship it to you but it is not Guaranteed.
Our customer service is available Monday-Friday 8am-5pm pacific time by live chat and email. We are not currently using our phone system due to the customer service working remotely. Most ETA’s on steering wheels are accurate but sometimes can take slightly longer depending on the wheel you ordered. Please also beware other manufactures are experiencing long lead times due to covid-19 and manufacturing delays. If you are curious about a lead time prior to ordering please email us or chat with us on our live chat. We then can give you a rough estimate on lead time or let you know if the item is in stock. Because inventory changes daily in the warehouses not all items are in stock or backordered. So an item you might want might be in stock or backordered just ask us. We normally can check instantly for you.
We get a lot of people asking about their orders. Please understand that Exterior items come from overseas and that they come by Sea Freight. Then they go to a logistics warehouse then are shipped by ground to you. This is causing delays but unfortunately out of our control. Overseas is not shipping any items that are large by air.
